Do you love alpacas but just aren't able to have your own?
Participate in our Adopt An Alpaca Program!
This is your chance to experience the joy and excitement of alpacas without actually taking one home. When you participate in our program and "adopt" an alpaca you are contributing to the farm to financially take care of that specific alpaca. Your adoption fee goes toward feed, supplements, shearing, vet visits, etc.
After your purchase of your chosen alpaca-send an email to email@example.com with 'Adopt-An-Alpaca Program' in the subject line to receive your registration form and final instructions on receiving your gift package or whether we are to send it to someone else as a gift.
Virgo is a True Black gelding. His birthdate is 09/13/16. He is a sweet boy whom most of the time doesn’t mind a few cuddles here and there. If he’s in the mood he’ll eat treats right out of your hand! When the weather’s warm he LOVES getting his belly and legs sprayed down-sometimes even doing a little dance pawing at the water! He loves to roll around in the prickliest weeds and bushes he can find-which creates more work for me when processing his fiber, but hey he’s happy and that’s all that matters! He’s also the daddy to our little Hope.
What you will receive if you adopt Virgo......
-a personalized adoption certificate
-a mug with Virgo’s photo
-a 4x6 photo of Virgo
-a coaster for your mug of coffee or tea made from Virgo’s fiber
-up to 4 visits with Virgo within your adopted year
-a card sent to you on your birthday from Virgo
-a 10% off coupon to use on a future purchase in our store
Does adoption mean I own the alpaca?
No. You have no ownership rights. The adoption fee covers the items in your alpaca adoption gift package and helps toward the annual cost of feed, supplements, shearing, vet visits, etc. for that alpaca.
How many can adopt one alpaca?
Each alpaca has the possibility of being adopted by three different adoptees per year.
In the unfortunate event that something happens to my alpaca, then what?
This is a farm and these are livestock and sometimes things unfortunately happen. If it were to come to that we would allow you to choose another alpaca.
Visiting my alpaca
You may visit your adopted alpaca up to 4 times within your adopted year. All visits must be supervised by a Ms Fitz Farm member and scheduled a minimum of 4 days in advance since we are not an “open” farm and our schedule varies greatly. Visit times can vary depending on “the mood” of your alpaca. They can range from a half hour to an hour. You may bring up to 4 guests with you for your visit. Please note that Ms Fitz Farm has the right to ask anyone they deem not being respectful of the animals, farm or staff to leave the premises immediately.
*Please note-there are no refunds for the Adopt-An-Alpaca Program once payment is made.
